The cracking problem, due to the poor strength in the ending place, can be thoroughly resolved. During the shut-down period of sand dryer machine, Mi brace should be equipped in the place, which is about 1,500mm away from the original end of rotary drum. Or else, deformation would occur in the new ending place of rotary drum. Then, the deformed front end should be cut and dismantled from the rotary sand dryer. In the ending place of remained drum, welding groove should be prepared without any burrs.
At last, the prepared drum should be lifted up and connected with the ending place of remained drum. As long as the radial and axial tolerance of rotary drum is in rated scope, welding process can start. The thickness of each welding layer should be no more than 5mm.
