Our two-year Electrical Engineering Technology Alternate Energy option provides training to students who choose to provide support and services in the design, development, testing, production and operation of alternate energy systems. Areas of study include the fundamentals of electric circuits; electronics; motors; generators; control systems; and computers. A study of the supporting sciences for the sustainable energy technologies (PV, wind, solar, geothermal) and the efficient use of energy enable those who choose to write exams which lead to certified installer and/or designer status in the various areas.
