Kortright is Canada’s premier a renewable energy education, demonstration, research and training facility. We conduct workshops for the following markets; Consumers interested in gaining basic knowledge; Curriculum based RE workshops for grade schools; Trades training workshops conducted for industry partners and associations such as Can SIA and ESA. We also have the power trip trail where on a 1.2 km trail fully functional examples of all RE technologies are on display. The Archetype house is also on the trial where visitors can see all of these technologies in two LEED platinum certified homes. Our facilities are used for educational, workshop and research opportunities by all of the community colleges and universities in the GTA and many beyond. We are also home to PVPV.ca, a outdoor test facility measuring the performance of PV modules, inverters, trackers, and racking systems. We are also testing various system design elements such as tilt angle, where we are measuring the long term performance of arrays on incremental tilt angles from horizontal to vertical.
