After 20 years of building single and multifamily homes under Jeff Fike Builders, Inc. Code Green was formed in partnership with Stew Miller and in conjunction with Yes! Solar Solutions of the Triangle. It is our intention to offer a wholistic approach to the home building and renovation process. One that addresses the homowners needs in a balanced approach and at a level they can afford from an energy audit to a design/built room addition complete with solar PV, solar hot water or a rain harvesting system.

Introduced to harnessing solar energy in the 1980s, Corry helped construct a passive solar home noting and recalling its features, details, and integration with the natural environment.

Corry’s professional experience captures the attributes applied for renewable energy sites/projects:

Site selection—Corry has reduced national and regional site searches based on unique natural site requirements (i.e., storm susceptibility, wind directions/currents, weather conditions) with vision of timely and economically feasible construction.

Economic incentive solicitation, evaluation, and comparison.

Environmental permitting, impact assessment, mitigations.

Direct experience with US Department of Energy and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission projects—including environmental documents cited or awarded accolades by both agencies.

Corry’s experience investigating/remediating Superfund sites and permitting/constructing coastal structures brings hands-on experience with the unique conditions of waste/contaminated sites and coastal/marine ecosystems—as well as the multitude of regulatory and resource agencies involved.

As an ornithological (bird) research assistant studying man-induced mortality from window kills, Corry has direct knowledge of migration tendencies and susceptibilities with a proven record of solutions.

Years consulting in the aviation business brings understanding of flyways, reflective impacts, and wind currents.
